"Oldies Paradise and Easy Rock Paradise - The stations that were the "home stations" for Stafford's World started, what has happened to them?"

As well as doing his regular “Stafford’s World” radio shows, from 2011 to 2024, Mark Stafford was also involved in running two very popular internet radio stations, Oldies Paradise and Easy Rock Paradise.

In early 2025, both stations changed their broadcasting set-up and now operate under the EKR banner. Having been re-named EKR Gold and EKR - East Kent Radio, respectively. Mark is now Head of the Music and Programming on both stations. And Stafford's World continues every week on the stations.

In addition, EKR have won the vast majority of the new DAB Multiplexes which will be operational right across Kent at the end of 2025.

On EKR Gold, Stafford’s World can be heard at the following times: First Plays: 6 PM UK Time On Sundays, Repeated At 10 AM UK Time on Saturdays. Old Archive Shows - Tuesday 2 AM & Thursday 3pm

EKR - East Kent Radio plays Stafford’s World at the following times: 6 PM UK Time On Sundays.

Old Archive Shows go out - Saturday 3 PM UK Time, Monday at 2 PM, Wednesday at 2 AM & Friday at 2 AM

Web Player

Smart Speaker

There are three main types of Smart Speaker or voice controlled interfaces, that can be used to hear EKR Gold.

Amazon Echo uses Alexa as its "do something" instruction. Whereas the Google Assistant just uses Hey Google as its instruction. Finally, The Apple voice instructions are directed at Siri.

For Alexa devices just say; “ALEXA PLAY RADIO STATION EKR GOLD” or
“ALEXA PLAY RADIO STATION EKR EAST KENT RADIO”
